Biography
Palma Bellinghieri is a second-generation culinary artist and chef. She was born and raised in Mexico City, and is a graduate of the prestigious Villa Pierrefeux Institute and Centre International de Glion, Hotel Management School in Montreaux, Switzerland.
Daughter of world-renowned Sicilian born chef and Mexico City restaurateur Alfredo Bellinghieri (“Alfredos” and “La Trucha Vagabunda” in the Zona Rosa), Palma integrates generations of family, international upbringing and restaurant recipes, into nutritious eating and healthy lifestyles.
Today, Chef Palma brings her years of experience, dedication and culinary excitement to San Diego, in the form of cooking classes, catering and office events, women’s gatherings, cooking birthday parties, healthy lifestyle food coaching, and as a personal chef for private parties.
During the spring and summer, she runs “For Young Chefs Camps” a culinary unforgettable experience for kids 9-15 and 16 years older. She inspires kids from all genres to cook, create and nourish themselves in a fun and delicious way. Children around the neighborhood are back in the kitchens, helping their parents and feeding themselves!!!
Vegetarian Cooking
For the past 20 years, Chef Palma has specialized in vegetarian cooking when she married and decided to raise a vegetarian family. Her popular hands-on-workshops introduce participants to delicious and healthy eating, in addition to an in-depth understanding of products in the marketplace, with an eye to shopping for novel products and best values.
The results are passionate dishes and tantalizing flavors, with warm and knowledgeable hospitality that makes for an unforgettable educational and culinary experience.
